Kaela Speicher is a multi-talented and accomplished photographer, retoucher, and stylist serving the greater Pittsburgh area. She attended art school at the highly selective Tyler School of Art (Temple University) in Philadelphia. After completing one year at Tyler, she transferred to Alfred School of Art and Design (Alfred University) in Alfred, NY. In 2010, Kaela graduated Cum Laude completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography (film and digital), and with two minors: Art History and Equestrian Studies.

With her extensive background in fine arts from Alfred School of Art and Design, her photography is heavily influenced by her studies in Art History. Her work sets itself apart from the industry standards, resulting in carefully composed compositions, a strong emphasis on lighting (natural and studio), and an invitation for the viewer to explore human emotion through strong narratives. Before every shoot, Kaela develops a clear vision and carries this vision all the way through; which starts with meticulous planning, set design/scouting, lighting, wardrobe styling, hair and makeup, and ends with post processing, and advanced retouching. Kaela feels that it is her job as a photographer to capture the subject in the most aesthetically engaging and creative way possible, and ultimately bring the vision of the shoot to life.
